When will my rod ship?
Most models ship from stock within 1–3 business days. If a model is on backorder, we typically ship within 2–4 weeks.
How does bamboo fish compared to graphite?
Bamboo loads differently. It flexes into the cast rather than snapping through it. Most graphite anglers notice the difference within a few casts: slower tempo, better feel at short distances, more feedback on the drift. It's not harder to cast. It's different — and most people don't go back.
What if it's not for me?
Fish it for 30 days. Cast it, take it on the water, really use it. If it's not the right fit, contact us for a free return label. No restocking fee.
Every bamboo rod has one part that lives closest to the edge. It is the tip.
A tip meets a car door. A tip finds the ceiling fan on the way through the cabin. Twenty years of careful fishing, and then one bad Tuesday in a parking lot. That is the whole reason two-tip rods exist, and it is why we build a spare for every taper we make.
What this is
A second tip section, built to the same taper as your rod, from the same cane, with the same wraps and the same agate. Not a generic replacement. The Gallatin tip is a Payne 100 tip. The McKenzie tip is a Granger 8642 tip. It fits your rod because it is your rod's tip.

Two reasons people buy one
You own a Favorite. Your rod shipped with a single tip. This is the second one, and your rod becomes the two-tip version of itself.
You own a Deluxe and something happened. You had two tips and now you have one. This puts you back where you started, and you fish the rest of this season instead of waiting for next.
If you do not own the rod yet
Buy the Deluxe. Building it in two steps always costs $50 more than buying the two-tip rod outright. On a Gallatin that is $500 plus $150 against $600 for the Deluxe. We would rather tell you that than sell you two things.
Why two tips is not just a spare
Cane takes a set if it sits in one position long enough. Two tips let you alternate so neither one carries every hour on the water. Fish one this season and the other next, and both stay straighter for it.
