Headwaters Bamboo Blanks and Kits

Have you ever wanted to build your own bamboo rod?

If so, there’s never been a better time than this winter. Using a quality bamboo blank from Headwaters and our new kits, you can build in the off-season and have a unique hand-built rod just in time for the on-coming fishing season. Our economical kits offer the opportunity to bask in the satisfaction of a rod you finished yourself.

The Blanks
Our blanks come in the same six sizes and actions of our finished rods. Blanks may be ordered with or without ferrule. If you order the ferrule you may have us attach it or you may do it yourself.

Our two-piece with matched tip (two identical tips) blanks are $200; ferrules are $20 and attach service is $30. You may order these on our website at http://headwatersbamboo.com.

The Kits
Our new kits make it easy for you to accumulate the necessary parts to complete your bamboo fly rod. The kits include the parts to finish your rod in our Deluxe Series configuration (click here to see this hardware on our rods).

To complete the rod, you will need to finish the blank (tung oil, varnish, epoxy, impregnation, etc.) and purchase the epoxy, ferrule cement (if applicable), wrapping thread, and finishes.

The kits will normally sell for $129 but for a limited time (at least until we get these posted on our website), you may purchase at a 25% discount or just $96. Shipping is free.
